I am a UW data science postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Statistics at the University of Washington, working with Dr. Daniela Witten and Dr. Jacob Bien. I am also affiliated with the Simons Collaboration on Computational Biogeochemical Modeling of Marine Ecosystems (CBIOMES). I received my Ph.D. from the Department of Biostatistics at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health advised by Dr. Nilanjan Chatterjee and Dr. Abhirup Datta. I completed my M.Stat (Specialization: Mathematical Statistics and Probability, thesis advisor Dr. Swagatam Das) & B.Stat from Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata prior to that.
My research focuses on using statistics to answer scientific questions in biology, public health, and environmental sciences. Toward this goal, I use and develop methods in the areas of machine learning, selective inference, multivariate analysis, and spatial statistics. My primary research interest is in developing scalable statistical learning methods for the analysis of dependent data. A secondary interest is in unsupervised learning.
Research interest: Selective inference, Machine learning, Correlated data, Spatial data, Statistical Genetics, Oceanography, and Unsupervised learning.
